Jones County High School Class of 1986

Hey Everyone!!  Our big weekend is almost here!  For those starting the weekend early, there will be tailgating in the parking lot before the game tomorrow night (Friday, Oct. 21st) starting between 5-5:30 p.m.  Jamey Huckeba says he will grill chicken if folks want to bring a side dish to share with folks.  The game starts at 7:30 p.m.  Please comment below if you plan to attend so Jamey will know how much chicken to buy.  Also, BYOB!!

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen!!  We have our place – Gallery 51 in Forsyth, GA, we have a Live DJ (Macon Nightlife) with a Photo Booth, delicious food catered by Carrabbas and tasty cocktails available!  A single ticket is $30 and a couple’s ticket is $50.  You can also donate whatever you would like to cover the cost of the guest teachers we would like to invite.  Have a particular teacher you want us to invite?  Just make a comment here and we will see if we can find and invite them.

We have finally got the reunion plans all squared away and the party is set!!!  We will have delicious Carrabba’s Italian Grill catering our reunion (YUM!!).  Macon NightLife DJ will be providing jamming music and a Photo booth for our entertainment and the beautiful Gallery 51 in Forsyth will be our venue!!  Tickets will be $30 per person and $50 per couple.  I will be adding a link here shortly for you to get your tickets.  We will also have a selection to allow you to add an additional donation to help cover the cost of the Honorary Teachers we will ask to attend as our guests.  (Any amount you can give will help cover their costs of the meal and entertainment).  I hope everyone has your calendar marked for Saturday, October 22 at 7 p.m.  You won’t want to miss it!

Wanted to update everyone with the details that we have confirmed so far.  We have a location – Gallery 51 in Forsyth, GA!!  It is a beautiful venue and it is centrally located for folks to get to it.  You can check out the website here – Gallery 51.

We have also located a wonderful DJ with Macon Night Life which will provide music and fun for our event as well as a photo booth to capture photos of our big night!!  Click here – Macon Night Life – to check out this vendor.

We only have a few more details to finish up and we will keep everyone up-to-date.  The next step will be to create a PayPal link to purchase tickets for the reunion to cover the costs.  These payments will go directly into a checking account that was opened for JCHS Class of 1986 about 10 or 15 years ago.  Scarlett Reitz Cranford has been keeping it going for us (thanks Scarlett!!).

Keep spreading the word so we can be sure to get the word to as many alumni as we can.

Hey Greyhounds!!!

I can’t even believe I am typing “30th” on here!!  That seems way too many years for us to have been out of high school.  Big thanks to Rodney Lester for starting the Facebook conversation today to get the ball rolling on planning a 30th Reunion. We are looking at the weekend of Oct. 21st, 22nd & 23rd – 2016 – for our reunion weekend and hope to get something planned including attending a JCHS football game, family daytime get together, reunion party, etc.  Try to get as many classmates as you can to get connected on here and our Facebook Fan Page.

So, if you have any suggestions, ideas or comments – share away and let’s get this party started!!

Hey Everyone!

We have created a Shutterfly page/site for the JCHS Class of 1986 for you to easily upload pictures onto the site for us to have easy access in making videos for future get togethers. This way you can also share your photos with your friends and they can download and print out what they want to make their own memory book from each event! And I guess it should go without saying that if you don’t want it published or put up on the screen at future reunions then make sure you are careful about the kind of pictures you post.

We definitely need some old photos from our high school days and if you have any for the past reunions – that would be great too!
